A new report from market research firm TechNavio predicts that the global motorcycle sensors market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 13% by 2021.

Sensor types covered in the report include process, position, and motion sensors, with process sensors – which are used to monitor temperature and pressure across all application areas in a vehicle – currently accounting for the major share of the market. A major factor driving the motorcycle sensors market going forward, the report says, will be a rising adoption of advanced safety and comfort systems in the industry and the consequent increasing integration of advanced electronics.

E-mobility capabilities of OEMs will become critical in sustaining competition because future innovation in the automotive industry will hinge on electronics and software,” says Amey Vikram, a lead automotive electronics analyst from TechNavio. “The growing dependence on sensor and radar based systems is one of the major reasons driving the global motorcycle sensor market.
